On Monday, Karachi experienced its coldest day in winter by recording temperatures of 10°C. According to PMD, the Pakistan Meteorological Department, continental air prevails over almost all parts of the country while a very shallow westerly wave is affecting the upper regions.
As the PMD forecasts, cold and dry weather would continue in Karachi, Hyderabad, and mostly all districts of Sindh for the night of Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Light patches of fog are also expected to prevail during early morning hours at Sukkur, Shikarpur, Kashmore, and Khairpur.
The minimum temperature is expected to be between 9 and 11 degrees on Tuesday in Karachi, whereas it would rise slightly to around 10 to 12 degrees on Wednesday. As for Hyderabad, it will have minimum temperatures between 11 and 13 degrees on Tuesday and 12 and 14 degrees on Wednesday.
Cold and dry conditions remained the dominating conditions in Sindh in the last 24 hours. Shallow fog engulfed the upper districts, with Mithi recording the lowest temperature in the province at a lowly 1 degree.
Relative humidity also varies across Sindh. Humidity is recorded in the evenings at 19% in Karachi, with a minimum temperature of 10 degrees C. Evening humidity was at 41% with Hyderabad recording its minimum temperature of 12 degrees C.
