MDCAT 2024 retake Karachi results have been a mixed bag for students in Karachi. According to the results announced by IBA Sukkur, only 10 candidates from Karachi made it to the top 100, raising concerns about the overall performance of the city’s students.
For MBBS admissions, only 43.29% of candidates managed to clear the test, while the qualification rate for BDS was slightly better at 50.66%. A total of 32,200 students appeared for the retake, with top scores of 192 marks coming from areas like Ranipur, Badin, Khairpur, and Tharparkar, showing a stark contrast in regional performances.
MDCAT 2024 retake Karachi results were compiled after the Sindh High Court (SHC) ordered a retest due to complaints about a paper leak. Following these orders, the Sindh government handed over the responsibility of conducting the test to IBA Sukkur to ensure transparency.
Meanwhile, a fresh round of MDCAT 2024 is scheduled for December 22 in Islamabad, as confirmed by sources. Around 17,597 candidates have registered this time, a significant drop from the previous 53,105 registrations. More than 30 examination centers are being set up in Islamabad to accommodate these candidates.
The results have sparked discussions about the challenges faced by Karachi students in such competitive exams. While the MDCAT 2024 retake Karachi results highlight a need for improvement, the focus remains on creating fair opportunities for all students across the province.
