The Punjab government has launched the Dhee Rani Program, an initiative aimed at supporting newlywed brides through financial assistance and essential household items. The program inaugurated in Lahore with a grand ceremony featuring the collective marriage of 51 couples, including five Christian pairs.
Gifts and Support for Newlyweds
During the event, each bride and groom received essential household gifts, including mattresses, dinner sets, and cooking utensils. As part of the Dhee Rani Program, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz distributed Dhee Rani Salami Cards to every bride. These cards entitle brides to receive PKR 100,000 as a wedding gift, aimed at helping them start their married life with financial security.
