In a decisive move to combat the rising incidents of aerial firing during wedding celebrations, law enforcement agencies have implemented stringent measures targeting both individuals and wedding hall administrations. This initiative aims to enhance public safety and ensure compliance with legal standards.
Police authorities have resolved to hold wedding hall administrations accountable for any occurrences of aerial firing on or near their premises. Station House Officers (SHOs) are mandated to issue prior notifications to all wedding venues within their jurisdictions, emphasizing the legal repercussions of such activities. In events where participants engage in aerial firing, not only will the individuals be prosecuted, but the management of the respective wedding hall will also face legal action.
The Karachi Police Chief has directed officers to intensify patrolling and monitor for aerial firing incidents, particularly during festive occasions. Individuals caught engaging in aerial firing will face charges of attempted murder, and their weapon licenses will be revoked immediately. These measures underscore the authorities’ commitment to curbing this perilous activity
