Cold Weather Returns to Karachi: Prepare for Freezing Nights Starting January 24

Karachi and several districts in Sindh are bracing for a significant drop in temperatures as a cold wave is anticipated to begin from January 24, 2025. Meteorologists predict that Karachi’s temperatures may dip into single digits during the final week of the month.

Prior to this cold spell, westerly winds expected to influence the region from January 18 to 23, bringing the possibility of rainfall in various parts of the country and snowfall in mountainous areas. Specifically, cities like Sukkur, Jacobabad, and Larkana in Sindh are forecasted to experience moderate rain between January 21 and 23.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has also indicated that Karachi may experience strong winds, with speeds around 15 kilometers per hour, during this period. Residents are advised to prepare for cooler and breezy conditions in the coming days.

As the cold wave approaches, it’s essential for residents to stay informed about weather updates and take necessary precautions to stay warm and safe during this period of decreased temperatures.
