The Punjab government has launched the second phase of the Dhee Rani programme to support underprivileged couples by arranging mass weddings. This phase, which began on Sunday, aims to register 1,500 couples who will benefit from the initiative.

How to Apply for the Dhee Rani Programme

Couples who wish to participate in the programme can apply online by visiting the official website at cmp.punjab.gov.pk. Alternatively, those who prefer to apply in person can visit the Social Welfare Department office in any district of Punjab. To facilitate applicants, the Punjab government has also set up a dedicated helpline at 1312 for guidance.

Benefits for Registered Couples

Under the Dhee Rani programme, each selected couple will receive Rs 100,000 as a wedding gift from Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. Additionally, the Punjab government will provide a free meal for the relatives attending the mass weddings.

Government’s Initiative to Support Underprivileged Families

The Dhee Rani programme is part of the Punjab government’s broader efforts to support underprivileged families by reducing financial burdens associated with marriage. The initiative not only helps couples start their new lives with financial assistance but also promotes social welfare by ensuring a dignified wedding ceremony.
