Karachi Do Darya Restaurant Fire: Structure Completely Destroyed, Cause Still Unknown

A huge fire broke out at a non-functional restaurant at Do Darya in the Defence Housing Authority (DHA) on Wednesday evening, causing massive destruction. According to police and rescue officials, the blaze rapidly spread due to the wooden structure of the restaurant.

DIG-South Syed Asad Raza confirmed that the police responded immediately, securing the area to prevent any further incidents. The affected restaurant, identified as Creek Inn, had been non-functional for the past four to five years. Despite being closed, the Karachi Do Darya restaurant fire raised concerns over safety measures in the area.

A Rescue-1122 official reported that initially, two fire tenders were dispatched to the scene. Firefighters battled the blaze for nearly one and a half hours before managing to bring it under control.

The restaurant was completely destroyed, with only charred remains left behind.
