Mustafa Amir Murder Case: Sajid Hasan’s Son Under Investigation

In a shocking development, veteran actor Sajid Hasan’s son, Sahir Hasan, has been arrested in connection with the Mustafa Amir murder case. The arrest came as part of a police crackdown on drug-related activities in the Defence Housing Authority (DHA) area of Karachi.

Police Raids Lead to Multiple Arrests

The investigation team conducted multiple raids in DHA, targeting drug peddlers and users. During these operations, law enforcement apprehended at least four individuals, including Sahir Hasan. Authorities also recovered drugs from their possession, with reports indicating that the confiscated substances included high-end foreign brands worth approximately Rs 5 million.

Shocking Revelations by Sahir Hasan

During interrogation, Sahir Hasan reportedly made startling confessions regarding the drug trade among the youth in Karachi’s upscale DHA locality. He admitted to selling drugs for the past two years and disclosed that he supplied narcotics to various individuals, including Armaghan Qureshi, the prime suspect in the Mustafa Amir murder case.

Court Extends Remand of Key Suspects

Meanwhile, the trial court has extended the physical remand of two prime accused in the Mustafa Amir abduction and murder case. The court granted a five-day extension for Armaghan Qureshi and Sheeraz, allowing authorities additional time for investigation.

During the hearing at the anti-terrorism court, Armaghan Qureshi collapsed, alleging that he had been beaten. When questioned by the court about the need for further remand, the investigation officer revealed that police had recovered 62 laptops and USB drives, requiring forensic analysis to extract potential evidence.

DNA Testing Conducted on Mustafa Amir’s Remains

Following court orders, the Sindh health department exhumed Mustafa Amir’s body to collect DNA samples. According to Police Surgeon Dr. Sumayya Syed, 11 samples have been sent to the Sindh Forensic DNA Lab. She noted that determining the cause of death remains difficult due to the absence of fingerprints, leaving DNA analysis as the primary method of identification.

Court Denies Family Meeting Requests

The court has rejected meeting requests from Armaghan Qureshi’s mother, Saira, and co-accused Sheeraz’s sister. Authorities remain focused on decoding digital evidence and further investigating the link between the drug trade and the tragic murder of Mustafa Amir.
