Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has launched the CM Punjab Transplant Program, providing five types of transplant surgeries completely free for eligible patients. This initiative aims to support those who cannot afford expensive medical treatments.
Free Transplant Surgeries Under CM Punjab Program
Under this program, the Punjab government will cover the cost of the following transplant procedures:
- Liver Transplantation
- Kidney Transplantation
- Bone Marrow Transplant
- Cochlear Implant
- Cornea Transplantation
The Punjab Human Organ Transplantation Authority (PHOTA) is responsible for managing the program, and registration with PHOTA is mandatory to avail of these free treatments.
Who Can Benefit from the CM Punjab Transplant Program?
Any patient in need of an organ transplant can benefit from this scheme by registering with PHOTA. Once registered, patients can receive free transplant surgeries at both government and private hospitals.
