Jaffar Express, a vital train service connecting Peshawar and Quetta, has finally resumed operations after being suspended for 16 days. The train departed from Peshawar, carrying 280 passengers, marking a significant step in restoring railway services in Balochistan.
Jaffar Express Back on Track After Suspension
According to sources, 280 passengers are onboard Jaffar Express as it heads to Quetta. The suspension of this critical railway service had caused major disruptions, but its revival brings relief to travelers relying on this route.
Federal Minister for Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan Affairs, and SAFRON, Ameer Muqam, spoke to the media, emphasizing that those who attempted to hinder Balochistan’s progress have faced disappointment. He highlighted that both the Prime Minister and the Army Chief remain steadfast in ensuring the country’s security.
Ameer Muqam reaffirmed that terrorism will not prevail as the nation stands united against it. He also warned against politicizing national security matters, taking a jab at PTI’s founder by stating that their last protest call failed to gain traction.
Jaffar Express Attack and Service Suspension
It is important to note that Jaffar Express had been out of operation since March 11, following a terrorist attack in Balochistan’s Kachhi district. The attack had forced authorities to suspend train services from Quetta to other parts of the country.
