Karachi Matric Exams 2025 Begin Today: Over 375,000 Students to Appear

The annual matric exams for 9th and 10th grades have officially begun in Karachi today, with more than 375,000 students participating across various examination centers in the city. The Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK) has taken comprehensive steps to ensure transparency and smooth conduct of the exams.

Computerized Admit Cards Issued to All Students

According to BSEK Examination Controller Zaheeruddin Bhutto, all students have been issued computerized online admit cards. Additionally, the list of exam centers has been published on the official BSEK website for easy access and reference.

499 Examination Centers Established Across Karachi

This year, 499 exam centers have been set up throughout the city, with 256 centers for boys and 243 for girls. Students from science, general, regular, and private groups will appear in the annual examinations.

19 Hub Centers Set Up for Paper Distribution

To streamline the process, 19 hub centers have been established in 18 different towns of Karachi. BSEK officers will supervise the secure delivery of examination papers to these centers. From there, the papers will be handed over to respective center superintendents or their representatives, who will collect the sealed papers with an authority letter.

Strict Measures to Prevent Cheating

Strict rules have been enforced to prevent cheating and misconduct. Mobile phones and electronic devices are strictly banned, and any such items found during the exams will be confiscated. Students are also warned not to bring any kind of unauthorized material into the exam halls.

Section 144 Imposed Around Exam Centers

In an effort to ensure foolproof security, letters have been sent to the Commissioner Karachi, DG Rangers, Additional IG, Director Education Karachi, and Director Private Schools Sindh to enforce Section 144 around all examination centers. No unauthorized individuals will be allowed near the premises during examination hours.

Additionally, all photocopying shops in the vicinity of exam centers will remain closed during exam hours to curb any attempt at cheating.

Monitoring Cell Established at BSEK Office

A reporting cell has been set up at the BSEK head office to monitor exam proceedings in real-time. Special teams have been formed to take immediate action based on complaints or reports of cheating or misconduct.
