Saudi Arabia has decided to build dedicated rest areas in Mina, Arafat, and Muzdalifah ahead of Hajj 2025. This initiative is aimed at providing comfort to millions of Hajj pilgrims who endure long hours of walking and extreme heat during the sacred journey.
Mina Rest Area for Hajj Pilgrims Gets a Major Upgrade
According to officials, new Mina rest areas for Hajj will be developed at various distances to help manage the crowd and offer timely breaks to pilgrims. The Deputy Governor of Makkah, Prince Saud bin Mishal, shared during a recent briefing on Hajj preparations in Saudi Arabia that a 50,000 square meter walkway in Mina is being covered with protective shades to support pilgrims who prefer to walk.
The government is also focused on upgrading facilities in the Plain of Arafat and Muzdalifah. As part of this initiative, 60,000 square meters at Jabal al-Rahmah in Arafat are being equipped with shade structures and mist-spraying fans to provide relief from the intense heat during the peak Hajj days.
Hajj 2025 Preparations: A Comfort-Focused Experience for Pilgrims
These improvements are part of the larger Hajj 2025 preparations by the Saudi authorities to make the pilgrimage more comfortable and organized. The plan also reflects the Kingdom’s commitment to using technology and infrastructure to serve the guests of Allah in the best possible way.
With these new facilities in Mina, Arafat, and Muzdalifah, Hajj 2025 is expected to offer a safer and more restful environment for pilgrims from around the world.
