Controversial Bollywood figure Rakhi Sawant has once again grabbed headlines — this time for her emotional support of Seema Haider. In a heartfelt video shared on Instagram, Rakhi appealed to the authorities, urging them not to deport Seema Haider back to Pakistan, emphasizing that Seema is now “the daughter-in-law of India.”
Rakhi Sawant highlighted that while Seema’s origins lie in Pakistan, her present life is deeply rooted in India. She stressed that Seema has married an Indian man, Sachin, and is now a mother to his child, firmly establishing her ties within an Indian family.
“Seema Haider should not be treated unfairly,” Rakhi stated. She further argued that if Seema had not married or given birth in India, the circumstances might have been different. However, given Seema’s new life and commitments, expelling her would be an act of injustice.
Adding to her support, Rakhi Sawant mentioned that Seema Haider has also embraced Hinduism after her marriage to Sachin, showing her dedication to her new life in India.
In her characteristic dramatic style, Rakhi said, “Seema is not a football to be kicked out; she is a woman, a mother. Humanity demands that justice be done for her.”
Seema Haider’s Journey from Pakistan to India
Seema Haider originally hails from Sindh province in Pakistan. In 2023, she crossed into India from Nepal along with her four children to unite with Sachin, a resident of Uttar Pradesh, whom she fell in love with online. In 2024, Seema and Sachin welcomed their first child together, further strengthening their bond.
However, recent decisions by the Indian government — including visa cancellations for Pakistani nationals and orders for them to leave the country within three days — have sparked concerns about Seema Haider’s possible deportation.
Rakhi Sawant’s open support comes at a crucial time, adding a celebrity voice to Seema’s ongoing struggle to stay in India and live her life peacefully.
