Today, Pakistan is proudly observing Youm-e-Tashakur 2025, a special day dedicated to paying homage to the brave Armed Forces and the resilient people for their victory in Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos and Marka-e-Haq. The day reflects the nation’s deep gratitude towards the sacrifices made to secure peace and stability.
The observance began early with special prayers in mosques nationwide and the recitation of the Holy Quran, uniting the country in spiritual solidarity. In the Federal Capital, a thirty-one-gun salute was fired after the Fajar prayer, while twenty-one-gun salutes resonated across all provincial capitals, marking the significance of the day.
This morning also witnessed the change of guard ceremonies at two of Pakistan’s most symbolic sites—the Mausoleum of Quaid-i-Azam in Karachi and the Mausoleum of Allama Dr. Muhammad Iqbal in Lahore, honoring the nation’s founding fathers and heroes.
Special tribute meetings are scheduled with the families of martyrs from Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos, highlighting the nation’s commitment to remembering and supporting those who have given their lives in service.
The main Youm-e-Tashakur ceremony will be held at the iconic Pakistan Monument in Islamabad. The event will be graced by the presence of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif as the chief guest. Alongside him, the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee and the Chief of Army Staff will also attend, reinforcing the unity and strength of Pakistan’s defense forces.
Throughout the country, various programs are being organized in schools, colleges, and organizations, both government and private, to commemorate Youm-e-Tashakur and educate the younger generations about the valor of the armed forces.
