Families of martyrs were specially invited to events and prayer ceremonies were held in their honour. The Federal Information Minister Atta Tarar confirmed that commemorative events and tributes to national heroes were a key part of the day’s agenda.
The message was clear: the sacrifices of Pakistan’s armed forces and the spirit of unity among its people remain unmatched.
Prime Minister’s Visit to Kamra Airbase
Earlier today, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif visited the Kamra Airbase, where he met with the pilots of the Pakistan Air Force who played a vital role in the recent conflict. In a bold statement, the PM confirmed that six Indian fighter jets were downed—not five as previously reported.
“The falcons of the Pakistan Air Force destroyed the enemy’s illusion of superiority,” said PM Shehbaz. “In under 10 hours, you rewrote history with your bravery—a moment that will be remembered forever.”
Accompanying the Prime Minister were Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Deputy PM Ishaq Dar, and Defence Minister Khawaja Asif.
