Sirbaz Khan completed this incredible milestone by summiting Kanchenjunga, the world’s third-highest peak at 8,586 meters, without oxygen. He had previously climbed all 14 peaks above 8,000 meters, but two of them—Annapurna and Kanchenjunga—were initially summited with oxygen. To officially complete the challenge without supplemental oxygen, he reattempted both mountains.
Last month, Sirbaz successfully summited Annapurna without oxygen. Today, by conquering Kanchenjunga without oxygen, he has etched his name in mountaineering history as one of the few climbers globally to achieve this rare feat.
