Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has officially decided to release KP salaries before Eid ul Adha 2025. This timely decision aims to facilitate government employees and pensioners in preparing for the upcoming religious festival without financial stress.
According to a directive issued by the KP Finance Department, all provincial government departments and institutions have been instructed to ensure the payment of salaries and pensions by May 30, 2025. The early disbursement comes in light of June 1, 2025, falling on a Sunday—prompting the administration to clear all dues before the weekend.
This initiative reflects the government’s intent to support its workforce ahead of Eidul Adha 2025, one of the most significant Islamic festivals in Pakistan. The measure is expected to benefit thousands of public servants and pensioners across the province.
Eid ul Adha 2025 Moon Sighting Pakistan
Eidul Adha in Pakistan is expected to be observed on Saturday, June 7, 2025, as per initial moon-sighting forecasts. The festival holds deep spiritual significance, commemorating the unwavering faith and obedience of Prophet Ibrahim (A.S.), who was ready to sacrifice his son as an act of submission to Allah.
A central practice of Eidul Adha is Qurbani, the ritual sacrifice of animals such as goats, cows, sheep, or camels. The meat is divided into three parts—one for the family, one for relatives and friends, and one for the underprivileged—symbolising the values of compassion, sacrifice, and community support.
The decision to issue KP salaries before Eid ul Adha is expected to ease the financial load on families as they prepare for Qurbani and other Eid-related expenses. It is also likely to boost local markets as spending increases in the days leading up to the holiday.
With this proactive step, the KP government not only supports its employees but also strengthens the overall festive spirit of Eidul Adha 2025 across the province.
