Cove Beach Resort Karachi officially opened to the public on June 21, 2025, at Hawk’s Bay under a public-private partnership (PPP) between Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) and Pals Outdoors. The project was inaugurated by Karachi Mayor Barrister Murtaza Wahab and Deputy Mayor Salman Abdullah Murad.

Developed to boost tourism and create employment, Cove Beach Resort Karachi offers modern facilities aimed at providing a world-class beach experience. The resort’s development period is cited between 3 to 6 months. The first day of opening saw full occupancy in accommodation and high turnout at the restaurant facilities.
The resort includes beach sports, recreational areas, and an online booking system, removing the need for visas or flight arrangements. The affordability of the resort targets a wide range of Karachi’s population, positioning the project as an accessible tourism destination.
The initiative aims to reshape Karachi’s image by leveraging its coastal location to attract both local and international tourists. Mayor Wahab emphasized that Cove Beach Resort Karachi removes the need for citizens to travel abroad for premium beach experiences. Plans for an additional resort in areas like Ibrahim Hyderi or Malir were also announced.
Media coverage and social media posts by officials highlighted strong public engagement. The project follows other developments like Manora Waterfront Beach (2021) and investor outreach to Indonesian firms in 2023.
