Karachi is experiencing light rain in different areas including Shahrah-e-Faisal today, 3rd July 2025. The rain has improved conditions after recent heat. According to the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), light to moderate rain with wind and thundershowers expected in Karachi and other parts of Sindh including Tharparkar, Mirpur Khas, Sanghar, Sukkur, Larkana, Jacobabad, Khairpur, Hyderabad, Thatta, and Badin during 3rd (evening/night) and 4th July 2025, with occasional gaps. Southeastern and lower Sindh may also see isolated heavy falls.
For Balochistan, rain-wind/thundershowers with isolated heavy falls are expected in Sherani, Musakhel, Loralai, Sibbi, Barkhan, Naseerabad, Kalat, Lasbella, Khuzdar, Awaran, Jaffarabad, Dera Bugti, and Kohlu from 3rd (evening/night) and 4th July, and again from 6th to 8th July 2025.
NDMA has advised the public, travellers, and tourists to avoid unnecessary movement in vulnerable areas and stay updated on weather changes to avoid any untoward situations. The authority has also warned of possible urban flooding in low-lying parts of Karachi, Hyderabad, Thatta, and Badin between 2nd and 5th July 2025. Flash floods and hill torrents may occur from 5th to 8th July 2025.
Citizens are advised to follow official updates and avoid weak structures, electric poles, and billboards during rain and wind conditions.
