Edhi, Chhipa Workers Criticized for Filming and Sharing Humaira Asghar Decomposed Body Video Online

A viral video of Pakistani actress and model Humaira Asghar decomposed body going viral on social media, but this raised public criticism and concerns about how the video is recorded and circulated. On July 8, 2025, the 32-year-old found dead in her apartment in DHA Phase VI, Karachi, following a court-ordered eviction, which caused the police to break into her apartment.

However, no official confirmation given regarding the individuals who first recorded or distributed the content. Some of the X users demanded the arrest of Chhipa and the workers who recorded that video.

Public backlash has been strong. Social media users condemned the Humaira Asghar decomposed body footage for violating the privacy and dignity of the deceased. Many questioned the ethics of sharing such sensitive material, citing religious and cultural concerns. “Searched Humaira Asghar on Twitter to find out what happened, and people are uploading videos and pictures of her decomposed corpse,” one user wrote.
