Petrol Price in Pakistan Likely to Decrease from August 1: Diesel, Kerosene, and Light Diesel Also Affected

Petrol price in Pakistan expected to change from August 1, 2025. Sources in the industry indicate that the prices of petrol and diesel may come down, and kerosene oil as well as light diesel, may go up.

Petrol price may drop by Rs. 9.07 per litre, bringing it down from Rs. 272.16 to Rs. 263.08. Diesel may see a reduction of Rs. 3.73 per litre, lowering the price from Rs. 284.35 to Rs. 280.62.

In contrast, kerosene oil is expected to rise by Rs. 3.55, reaching Rs. 184.88 per litre. Light diesel may go up by Rs. 2.33, setting the new rate at Rs. 170.09 per litre.

The expected fuel price changes are based on global oil market trends and a slight improvement in the rupee’s value against the dollar.

These recommendations are under review and may be implemented by the Ministry of Finance after final approval on August 1.
