The World Championship Legends Cricket 2025 has reached its final stage with the Pakistani Champions being qualified to the WCL final when India Champions pulled out of the semi-final scheduled on July 31, at the Edgbaston, Birmingham. The move was taken after political tensions when India declined to face Pakistan.

The WCL semi-final 2 between South Africa Champions and Australia Champions is also being played on July 31 at Edgbaston. The winner of this match will face Pakistan Champions in the WCL final on August 2 at the same venue.
Pakistan qualified without a loss in the league matches and it became the team leading the points table with 9 points, followed by South Africa (8 points), Australia (5 points) and India (3 points). In the must win match against West Indies, India ended up in the last semi-final place in nets run rate.
Key performances during the tournament included AB de Villiers’ two centuries for South Africa Champions, including a 123 off 46 balls against Australia and a 41-ball hundred versus England.
WCL 2025 approved by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) started on July 18, and the tournament featured six teams: India, Pakistan, South Africa, Australia, West Indies, and England. Each of the teams involved former international cricketers. The matches took place at four sites in the UK: Birmingham, Northampton, Leicester, and Leeds.
