Iran President Masoud Pezeshkian to Visit Pakistan Tomorrow for Two-Day Official Trip

Iranian President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian to visit Pakistan on a two-day official visit from August 2 to August 3, 2025. This marks his first visit to Pakistan after assuming office and follows Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi’s April 2024 trip to Islamabad.

The visit begins in Lahore, where President Pezeshkian pays respects at the mausoleum of Allama Iqbal before continuing to Islamabad. High-level meetings with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, President Asif Ali Zardari, Senate Chairman Yousaf Raza Gillani, National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq, and Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar is scheduled.

The Iranian delegation will participate in discussions focused on bilateral trade, border security, parliamentary ties, and economic cooperation. Both countries aim to boost trade volume and expand cooperation in the energy, security, and cultural sectors. A state banquet hosted by President Zardari and an official luncheon by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif included in the agenda.

This visit comes after Pakistan’s diplomatic support for Iran during the June 2025 Iran-Israel escalation and is part of a wider effort to improve regional cooperation. The two countries will sign agreements on trade, border stability, and cross-border infrastructure.

The official visit concludes on August 3 as the Iranian president and his delegation depart. Regional diplomatic circles closely watch the visit and view it as a continuation of Pakistan-Iran strategic dialogue.
