Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is protesting across the country today, August 5, 2025, to mark the second anniversary of the arrest of the founder of the party Imran Khan. PTI will hold the demonstration under the umbrella of Tehreek-e-Tahaffuz-e-Aain-e-Pakistan.
According to official statements, PTI leaders say this is the start of a long-term campaign demanding judicial rights, constitutional protection, and the release of Imran Khan.
Section 144 Enforced in Islamabad and Rawalpindi
The governments of Islamabad Capital Territory and Rawalpindi imposed Section 144 to stop congregation, protests, and rallies between August 4 and 10. Police also warned to detain anyone making violations.

Authorities have sealed multiple roads and areas in preparation for the protest.
