Is There Any More Rain Threat in Karachi? PMD Issues New Forecast

The rain forecast in Karachi under the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has been updated showing that no threat of heavy rainfall occurs in Karachi and other regions of Sindh after August 27.

As per the Karachi weather update, intermittent showers are not expected to be related in Sindh as per the weather update, light rain or drizzles can only occur in some places but there is no possibility of continuous or heavy showers. This implies there are the previous warnings of heavy rain in Karachi today that have ceased, and the weather system has dissipated.

The PMD also released a Pakistan weather news 2025 outlook in which rainfall continues to be possible somewhere within Punjab, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Kashmir. Strong winds and thunderstorms are possible in these regions in today.

For residents tracking Karachi rain updates, the department clarified that the monsoon system over the city has lost strength, and there will be no severe rainfall activity in Sindh in the coming days.
