In response to the Supreme Court order, the management of Anant Ambani zoo has stated that it will extend full cooperation with the inquiry. According to its official stance, Vantara designed as a rescue and rehabilitation facility with long-term animal welfare at the centre of its operations.
Spread across 3,500 acres in Jamnagar, Vantara described as one of the largest private wildlife projects in India. It houses more than 150,000 animals from over 2,000 species. The facility includes an elephant hospital and advanced veterinary centres with MRIs, CT scans, and hydrotherapy pools. In 2024, during the wedding of Anant Ambani, the project showcased to international celebrities. However, the zoo remains closed to the general public, raising questions about its transparency and purpose.
