Pakistani singer Qurat ul Ain Baloch was injured in a bear attack while camping in Deosai National Park during the shooting of a music video.
Qurat ul Ain Bear Attack Details
According to hospital officials, the Qurat ul Ain bear attack took place near Bara Pani when a Himalayan brown bear entered the campsite. The animal injured her arms with claws and teeth. Companions present at the camp, including cameramen and guides, managed to rescue her and shift her to Skardu Regional Hospital.
Doctors confirmed that Qurat ul Ain Baloch received injuries on both arms in the incident. After treatment, her condition was declared stable, and she has been discharged from the hospital. Sources said she was in Deosai for a music video shoot at the time of bear attack.
Following the Qurat ul Ain bear attack, the Gilgit-Baltistan government has imposed a ban on camping inside Deosai National Park. Officials advised tourists to camp only near hotels or in designated safe areas to avoid wildlife incidents in the future.
The Himalayan brown bear inhabits Deosai National Park, which is among the highest plateaus in the world. Recent years have seen a reported increase in the population of the bears which has led to increased risk of encounters between man and wildlife like the Qurat ul Ain Baloch bear attack.
