OpenAI has introduced its new ChatGPT Atlas browser, which is an AI-powered web browser based on the ChatGPT technology. The ChatGPT Atlas is a browser that directly uses artificial intelligence, allowing one to summarize content, analyze data and control online activities with an embedded ChatGPT menu.
As of OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, ChatGPT Atlas browser is now available worldwide in macOS with future releases planned in ChatGPT Atlas Windows, iOs, and Android. This release places OpenAI directly against Google Chrome with such functionality as Agent Mode that enables the browser to carry out duties such as product research, reservations, and automated functions.
The launch comes after several months of hype because, the OpenAI even warned about creating an AI-powered web browser to improve the experience of using ChatGPT. The free version of ChatGPT will also be restricted on access to Atlas and one can test the core features of the product without a subscription.
In the meantime, Perplexity has also grown its AI platform by releasing the free Comet browser, which is accessible on both Windows and Macintosh. Perplexity and OpenAI are both in the process of dominating the emerging AI browser market by combining such functions as real-time summaries, task automation, and privacy controls.
According to industry experts, ChatGPT Atlas browser and the Comet offered by Perplexity are the future of web interaction – a system where AI is explicitly used to help users navigate, search, and execute digital processes. ChatGPT Atlas Windows version which is anticipated in the near future will make accessibility even more open to the global users.
