The Pakistani passport new design 2025 has been officially endorsed by the Government of Pakistan and it is the significant milestone in terms of transforming the travel documents to be more secure and national heritage-oriented. The Ministry of Interior redesigned the Passport to the standards of the international system; the Directorate General of Immigration & Passports (DGIP) certified this redesign.
Pakistan Passport Design Update 2025
The new design of the Pakistan passport, according to the DGIP, will feature historical landmarks in all the four provinces, namely, Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. The redesign of the passport is also supposed to represent the identity of the country and also to have enhanced anti-forgery and verification features.
Another important addition in the Pakistani passport new design 2025 is adding the name of the mother along with the name of the father on the bio-data page that allows clear and inclusive documentation. DGIP however explained that the passport validity, categories and basic design will not be altered merely the design and security enhanced.
Rollout of the Pakistani Passport New Design
Passport approval of new design was approved in October 2025 and preparations are being made to print it. Current passports will continue to be in use until they expire and the redesigned version of the passport will be progressively issued on new and renewed applications. Pakistan Passport program has not announced any new fee or procedure to be applied by the applicants.

The new design of Pakistani passport 2025 will have more security levels to ensure they are not abused and to make their verification more efficient everywhere. Cultural imagery will emphasize on the heritage of Pakistan, whereas the personal data fields will be updated to enhance inclusivity.
The DGIP has not yet officially announced the date when the nationwide roll out would occur, however, all new applications will soon commence receiving the enhanced Pakistan passport design with security and identity upgrades.
