Maryam Nawaz Birthday Celebration Across Punjab
Chief Minister of Punjab Maryam Nawaz celebrated her 52 nd birthday on 28 October with events organized in Punjab and other regions of Pakistan. Supporters and members of the Pakistan Muslim League (N) cut cakes and posted messages on social media to wish Maryam Nawaz on her birthday.
Born on the 28th of October, 1973 in Lahore. She is the daughter of Nawaz Sharif, the former prime minister, and wife of Captain (R) Safdar. Her journey into politics started at the 2013 general elections when she was at the center of the PML-N party campaign that saw the party reclaim power.
In February 2024, she became the first woman to become the Chief Minister of Punjab in the history of the province as she celebrated her first birthday in this post. Her leadership has been linked to education, youth development and empowerment of women in the state of Punjab.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and top party leaders congratulated her on her birthday, praising her efforts in enhancing the PML-N. Punjab cabinet information and culture minister Azma Zahid Bokhari also posted a video on the social media page honoring her history of serving the people.
