The Chief Traffic Officer in Islamabad has announced new rules for heavy vehicles and tinted windows. The CTO of Islamabad says heavy traffic will be allowed into the federal capital only from midnight to 5 a.m. Daytime entry for heavy vehicles is now banned.
He also announced a ban on tinted windows for all vehicles. Violators will face legal action immediately. He pointed out that motorcycles carrying three riders will be dealt with strictly.
Meetings will be held with bus‑terminal owners and managers. They’ll be told: no passenger pick‑up or drop‑off outside official public transport terminals. Bus owners must issue tickets before boarding passengers.
Goods‑vehicle owners and managers will also attend sessions. All loaded trucks must unload at designated locations only.
