Double Decker Bus Karachi to Hit the Streets Next Week
Karachi commuters will soon have access to double-decker buses and new EV buses. The provincial government announced the rollout will begin next week, aiming to improve urban transport and reduce congestion. Senior Minister Sharjeel Memon confirmed the buses are on schedule to reach the city by next week.
The Sindh government is also expanding the People’s Bus service to other districts. Sharjeel Memon said new routes will help residents travel efficiently across Sindh. Transport authorities have been instructed to complete all preparations for the new bus routes in time.
The government plans to start EV taxis by December. Alongside, an additional 500 buses are expected to be added to Karachi’s transport network.
Yellow Line BRT Completion in Focus
Sharjeel Memon also emphasized finishing the Yellow Line BRT project soon. The government is monitoring all transport initiatives to ensure timely delivery. Karachi commuters can expect double-decker bus Karachi services alongside EV buses and expanded routes in the coming weeks.
