Changan Price Hike in Pakistan Hits Oshan X7, Alsvin, Karvaan and More

Changan Pakistan, in collaboration with Master Changan Motor Limited, has announced a price hike across its vehicle lineup effective July 1, 2025. The Changan price hike applies to key models including the Oshan X7, Alsvin, Karvaan, Sherpa, and others. The increase is driven by the 2025-26 federal budget amendments introducing the New Energy Vehicle (NEV) adoption levy, also called Climate Support Levy. This is the third Changan price hike for some models in 2025.

The main reasons behind the latest Changan price hike include:

  • NEV Adoption Levy / Climate Support Levy:
    • 1% for vehicles up to 1300cc
    • 2% for 1301cc to 1800cc
    • 3% for above 1800cc
      (EVs and PHEVs are exempt)
  • Rising fuel costs, currency devaluation, and import/production cost hikes
  • Industry-wide pricing adjustments by other automakers like Pak Suzuki and Kia
