The Sindh government organized a Sindh premium number plate auction, drawing considerable interest and high bids. The event graced by the Senior Minister of Excise, Taxation, and Information Sindh, Sharjeel Inam Memon, who expressed his gratitude to the participants and highlighted the auction’s noble cause.
The star of the auction was the number plate “A1,” which fetched an astounding 10 crore rupees. Businessman Muzamal Kareem, the highest bidder, received the ownership certificate from Minister Sharjeel Memon himself. Another significant bid was for the plate “A786,” which sold for 2.65 crore rupees, with the Sindh Energy Minister Nasir Shah presenting the certificate to the successful bidder.
In total, 38 premium number plates auctioned, with prices ranging from the highest bid of 10 crore to a minimum bid of 2.1 million PKR. The diverse array of plates attracted various buyers eager to own these exclusive identifiers. For instance, plate “A5” sold for 53 million PKR, and “A7” fetched 46 million PKR, showing the high demand for these unique numbers.
The auction’s proceeds, as announced by the ministers, will support the construction of houses for flood victims in Sindh. This humanitarian purpose added a meaningful dimension to the event, making each bid count towards a significant cause.
