KIA hinted Niro EV and Stinger to launch in Pakistan

The Kia Niro EV and Kia Stinger have been teased for debut in Pakistan by Kia Lucky Motors. The corporation displayed both automobiles in a social media video, even though they haven’t yet been made available in Pakistan.

As part of its marketing initiative in late 2020, KLMC has dropped indications regarding these autos. The aforementioned vehicles and a Sorento, which were covered with #WeAreUnstoppable graphics, generated a lot of discussions online.

KIA Niro:

Niro is in direct competition with models like the Honda HR-V, Toyota RAV4, and others. The company provided an early glance at the Niro EV in the video, which features two engine options:

1.130 horsepower (hp) and 394 Newton-meters (Nm) of torque are delivered to the front wheels by a solitary electric motor.

2.A single electric motor driving the front wheels with 394 Nm of torque and 201 horsepower.

With a 39.2 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, the 13-horsepower model offers a WLTP-approved performance of 288 km after a full charge. With a 64 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, the 201 horsepower variant offers a WLTP-approved range of 385 kilometers after a full charge.

The price of a Niro EV is still unknown in Pakistan, although it is about equivalent to Rs. 7.5 million internationally.

KIA Stinger:

One of Korea’s greatest automobiles is the Kia Stinger. As a “super-sedan,” it is equated to the BMW 3 Series, Mercedes-AMG C Class, Alfa Romeo Giulia, and other sporty sedans.

Additionally, it offers two options for its engine:

1.A four-cylinder, 2.0-litre gasoline engine that produces 353 nm of torque.

2.A 2 turbocharger, 3.3 liter V6 gasoline engine with 368 horsepower and 510 Nm of torque.

An 8-speed automatic gearbox connects both engines to either the rear wheels or all four axles, depending on the market.

While Stinger’s base model costs around Rs. 8.5 million outside, the V6 variant is significantly more expensive at Rs. 11.8 million. This price will likely be considerably higher considering the current state of Pakistan’s economy, taxes, and pricing.

Kia Lucky Motors has not said if it genuinely intends to introduce these automobiles anytime soon. It’s also possible that the company is only showcasing these cars to spark interest in the brand among customers. Due to the present economic climate, it could take some time if it does want to introduce the Kia Niro EV and Kia Stinger in Pakistan.

Although this is extremely exciting, KLMC is a little late according to tradition. In April 2023, Kia will stop selling Stinger in the worldwide market, according to recent rumors from South Korea. Additionally, as is widely known, it has previously introduced a brand-new Niro model in other regions.

The completely built-up (CBU) versions of both cars may be imported by Kia and offered for sale in Pakistan, according to experts. The company has not yet provided any further information about this.
