Kia to close its corporately owned dealerships in Karachi

One of KIA Lucky Motor Corporation’s (KLMC) dealerships in Karachi has stated that it will close its doors forever. Beginning on January 1, 2023, Kia Motors Shahrah-e-Faisal, a franchise run by the firm, will close.

In a press release, KIA motors stated that the single factor that led to the collapse of the Kia Motors Shahrah-e-Faisal dealership was the landlord’s refusal to extend their lease once it expired.

The firm added that clients who reserved their automobiles at the aforementioned showroom will receive them from Kia Motors Lucky One, another outlet run by the same company in Karachi that is located at the Lucky One Mall.

The rumor mill about a massive influx of automakers is out of hand with Pakistan’s economy already on the verge of collapse, businesses closing up shop, and people who are losing employment left, right, and center.

Neither the new firms nor the old ones have yet commented on the current state of affairs. We can only expect that Pakistan’s auto industry can survive the current economic difficulties at this juncture.
