In a recent development, the Punjab Excise and Taxation Department has unveiled the new registration fee schedule for various vehicles, including the highly popular Honda CG 125 motorcycle. This announcement comes in the wake of the provincial government’s approval of the Budget 2024-25.
Starting today, all citizens purchasing motorcycles, including the Honda CG 125, required to register their vehicles with the Excise Department to avoid legal complications and traffic challans.

New Registration Fee Structure
The Punjab Assembly has approved the budget for the fiscal year 2024-25, introducing new tax measures and adjusting the registration fee for motorcycles and cars. According to the new fee schedule, the registration fee for motorcycles and scooters, including the Honda CG 125, has set at Rs1,500. Additionally, there will be a 10% annual fee for registration transfers within the first 10 years.
This new registration fee structure aims to streamline the registration process and ensure all motorcycles properly documented with the Excise Department.
