Suzuki Motorcycles Prices Skyrocket As Inflation Hits Hard in Pakistan
Suzuki motorcycle enthusiasts are in for a shock as Pak Suzuki Motor Company (PSMC) has once again increased its bike prices for the fifth time in 2023. The company has attributed this price hike to inflation that has significantly impacted its operations. The prices of popular Suzuki models including GD 110S, GS 150, GSX 125, and GR 150 have gone up by up to Rs. 20,000. The new ex-factory prices are now as follows: GD 110S at Rs. 335,000, GS 150 at Rs. 364,000, GSX 125 at Rs. 488,000, and GR 150 at Rs. 521,000.
the new ex-factory prices of Pak Suzuki motorcycles, effective from May 9, 2023:
Model | Old Price (Rs.) | New Price (Rs.) | Increase (Rs.) |
---|---|---|---|
GD 110S | 322,000 | 335,000 | 13,000 |
GS 150 | 350,000 | 364,000 | 14,000 |
GSX 125 | 469,000 | 488,000 | 19,000 |
GR 150 | 501,000 | 521,000 | 20,000 |
While PSMC has not yet updated the prices on its website, a prominent 3S dealership has confirmed the news. It’s noteworthy that the company has been facing operational difficulties and has announced several rounds of non-production days (NPDs) for both cars and bikes in 2023.
The latest NPDs will run from May 2 to May 9, 2023, owing to inventory shortages. With the resumption of production on May 9, 2023, the coinciding price hike has not gone unnoticed. So, brace yourself for increased costs if you are looking to buy a Suzuki motorcycle.
