Suzuki Bolan Production Officially Ends in Pakistan

Suzuki Bolan is bidding farewell to Pakistan’s road officially. After years of speculation, Suzuki has confirmed that the production of the Bolan come to an end. The news gained traction after a photo of an unfinished vehicle surfaced online, with a poster reading: “Bye Bye Y88V Bolan,” signaling the final chapter of the Bolan’s journey.

The Suzuki Bolan, a long-standing but outdated model will replaced by the Suzuki Every. For years, consumers in Pakistan had limited choices leading them to buy the Bolan despite its lack of modern specs and safety features. The launch of the Changan Karvaan provided some competition and consumers began demanding a more modern vehicle. The Bolan was often criticized for its outdated design, lack of comfort, and safety concerns, making its discontinuation almost inevitable.

In 2021, rumors of the Bolan’s discontinuation arose following a Lahore High Court ruling mandating that all vehicles be equipped with airbags. Suzuki initially dismissed the rumors, but in 2022, the company introduced an AC variant of the Bolan, which was short-lived and discontinued the same year.

As the Bolan exits, the Suzuki Every steps in to take its place. After delays caused by the ban on LCs and import issues, Suzuki is set to launch the Every in Pakistan in October 2024, marking the end of an era for the beloved Bolan and the beginning of a new chapter with the Every.
