The Federal Board of Revenue has declared that it has extended office hours on December 31, 2025, to achieve the revenue targets by the end of the year. In Pakistan, all the tax offices will be kept open till 10pm. The relocation will provide taxpayers with additional time to clear the charges and FBR Deadline 2025.
FBR News Today confirms that the Federal Board of Revenue has ordered extended working hours across Pakistan on December 31, 2025.
All Large Taxpayer Offices, Medium Taxpayer Offices, Corporate Tax Offices, and Regional Tax Offices will stay open until 10pm. The goal is simple. The FBR wants timely collection before the close of the financial year and the Tax Deadline Pakistan.
According to the officials, this decision aids the last minute taxpayers. There are numerous instances of going to offices late because of work or a delay at the banks. The long hours are meant to eliminate the last-minute stress and failure to pay on time according to FBR Deadline 2025.
The move is also significant to those who are completing their Income Tax Return 2025. The taxpayers are able to pay their outstanding debts, make payments, and settle their questions within a single day. FBR officers will be left to aid collections and processing.
Online systems will continue to play a role. The FBR IRIS Login portal remains active for e-payments and filings. Officials advise taxpayers to complete online steps early and use office support only when needed. This helps avoid system load during peak hours.
FBR has used similar steps earlier this year. Working Saturdays and extended hours helped boost compliance. Officials say this approach supports revenue targets without changing tax rates.
