Islamabad: There is good news for Pakistanis as the interim government will not raise the petrol prices in Pakistan.
Shamshad Akhtar, caretaker finance PM revealed that the government is not willing to increase petrol prices. The finance ministry sent the petrol prices hike summary to the PM that was not responded. Earlier, Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) recommended hike in petroleum prices.
OGRA sent a hike summary recommending raise in prices from 1st June. OGRA suggested the raise of Rs 12.5 and Rs 8.37 in the diesel and petrol price respectively. The regulatory authority also recommended the Rs 11.65 and Rs 8.30 in diesel oil and kerosene oil respectively.
