Pakistan has admired IMF on G20 for providing relief to developing nations whose economies have been affected miserably by coronavirus pandemic.
Pakistan was looking forward to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) one year relief fund from 1st May. Shah Mehmood Qureshi Foreign Minister affirmed on Thursday the Prime Minister Imran Khan obligated help from IMF for developing nations which got approve by IMF. The IMF declared that it would be providing one-year funds to 70 developing nations, including Pakistan.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi met the head of IMF in Pakistan also, Teresa Daban Sanchez. He called for the support of unrestricted supports for the economies which have been affected by the corona pandemic because he believed that socio-economic impact was superior in the developing nations. Mr. Qureshi hails the decisions of the IMF, G20 countries and World Bank to help developing nations by paying debts and economic guidance to handle this health crisis of coronavirus. The current situation of the corona pandemic and its effects on economies were also discussed in detail during this meeting.
After meeting with IMF, G20 nations also came forward at promised to provide similar debt to the worlds poorest nations for the relief that will help to absorb miseries affected on economies by this virus. Prime minister Imran Khan welcomes the development and met Abdul Hafeez Shiekh Finance Adviser, applaud on the relief payment. Sheikh briefed about the additional financial related help to be allowed by the IMF to Pakistan to deal with this infection emergency.
