According to a report on Wednesday, the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) has emphasized that the government has started the outsourcing process for the nation’s airports but not the privatization process.

The media stories suggesting the privatization of the airports, according to the PCAA representative, are untrue. To make traveling easier for citizens, the government sought to improve the nation’s airports to meet international standards.
In addition, it said that delivering the finest services to travelers at airports was the goal of outsourcing airports. According to the PCAA, the outsourcing procedure would be built on competitive auctions.
The aviation authority made it clear that other nations are not receiving control of the airports. It further said that the outsourcing procedure will adhere to all relevant norms and regulations.
It was revealed earlier in the day that the federal government has drafted an outsourcing strategy for the airports in Islamabad, Lahore, and Karachi.

According to reports, the Civil Aviation Authority completed the framework at the prime minister’s request. According to further sources, “a tender for the outsourcing of the airports will be issued in foreign publications.”
The prime minister gave the go-ahead for all related ministries to act quickly throughout the outsourcing process. He said that this procedure should be transparent.
Airport outsourcing will assist enhance amenities for international travelers as well as bring in funds for the government.
