Today Petrol Price in Pakistan: No Change for Late January 2026

The federal government has officially maintained the petrol price in Pakistan for the second half of January 2026. Despite hopes for a reduction following lower global oil costs, the Petroleum Division confirmed that current rates will stay the same until January 31.

Today Petrol Price in Pakistan Stays Firm

The government decided to keep petrol prices in Pakistan steady. You will continue to pay Rs. 253.17 per litre for petrol. Many expected a drop because global crude prices fell to around $59 per barrel. Instead, the government absorbed that potential relief by increasing the petroleum levy by Rs. 4.62 per litre.

The petrol price remains unchanged primarily to meet tax collection targets. The government now charges a total levy of approximately Rs. 84.27 on every litre of petrol. This includes a Climate Support Levy of Rs. 2.50 to fund environmental projects. While international markets showed a downward trend, officials chose price stability to keep the circular debt in check.
