Dr Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin, a prominent leader of the Bohra community, unveiled a state-of-the-art School of Law facility at Karachi University’s (KU) campus. The inauguration ceremony witnessed the presence of esteemed government officials, dignitaries, and community members.
Spanning an impressive 45,000 square feet, the new School of Law premises embodies the Islamic ethos of fostering positive change through education. Its expansive capacity aims to accommodate a larger number of graduate and postgraduate students, offering diverse programs to enhance their educational journey.
Caretaker Chief Minister Sindh, retired Justice Maqbool Baqar, praised the Dawoodi Bohra community for its generosity, emphasizing that their social services extended beyond borders, dedicated to human development.
“This facility is a valuable gift to the students of Karachi and the entire nation of Pakistan,” stated Justice Maqbool Baqar. He highlighted the facility as a symbol of commitment to academic excellence and a catalyst for intellectual growth, societal progress, and the harmonious coexistence of tradition and contemporary values in Pakistani education.
Sindh Governor and KU Chancellor Kamran Tessori acknowledged the Bohra community’s continuous support to Pakistan despite challenging circumstances. He commended their active participation in welfare works and their significant role in expanding the national tax network.
Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Khalid Iraqi expressed gratitude to Syedna Saifuddin on behalf of KU, recognizing his multifaceted contributions to education. Dr Iraqi emphasized the Bohra community’s pivotal role, led by Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin and his predecessors, in elevating education and research standards in the country.
