Dow University of Health Sciences or DUHS awarded degrees to over 1,370 students in the convocation 2018.
During DUHS convocation 2018, 1370 students received degrees. However, there were 26 gold medalists and 24 silver and 24 bronze medal holders.
388 MBBS graduates, 68 MPhil graduates, 78 Pharm D, 70 PHD, and 174 BDS postgraduates received degrees. Sindh Health Minister Dr Azra Fazal Pechuho was the chief guest of the 9th DUHS convocation 2018. In addition, DUHS Vice Chancellor Dr Saeed Qureshi, University of Karachi (KU) Vice Chancellor Dr Ajmal Khan, university’s pro vice chancellor, parents, students, and other faculty members attended the event.
The inaugural speech was presented by pro vice chancellor and convocation committee chairperson Dr Zarnaz Wahid. Dr Moiz Ahtesham and Dr Imama shared their student live memories.
Dr Azra Fazal Pechuho congratulated students and revealed that it was the huge day for them. She further added that they (students) are now in a phase where they can serve the people, go to remote areas and do their contribution in the reduction of gap between rural and urban areas.
