In a recent development, the Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Authority (PEIRA) has declared winter vacations for all private educational institutions (PEIs) in Islamabad. This decision affects the entire spectrum of private schools and colleges in the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT).
According to the official notification, these educational institutions will be closed for winter holidays from December 25th to December 29th. This move is aimed at providing students and faculty with a well-deserved break during the festive season.
The PEIRA notification also outlines that all PEIs are scheduled to resume educational activities from the first week of January 2024. This decision aligns with the broader effort to ensure a smooth transition back to regular academic routines after the holiday season.
Notably, this announcement comes in the wake of similar decisions by provincial governments in Sindh and Punjab, where winter vacation schedules have already been disclosed.
In Punjab, winter vacations are set to occur from December 18th to January 1st, covering all educational institutions across the province. Meanwhile, in Sindh, students will enjoy winter holidays from December 22nd to December 31st.
The synchronized approach to winter vacations across these regions aims to maintain a consistent academic calendar while providing students, teachers, and staff with an opportunity to recharge and spend quality time with family and friends.
This decision is expected to contribute to the well-being of the educational community and ensure a fresh start in the new year, fostering a positive and rejuvenated learning environment.
