Karachi University BS AI Semester Details!
For undergraduates, AI concepts introduced in the fifth semester of the BSCS program with the course titled “Artificial Intelligence” (BSCS-515), combining two hours of theory and one practical session weekly. Meanwhile, the master’s program features courses like “Machine Learning Systems” and “Bayesian Networks and AI,” focusing on advanced AI concepts. These offered in a 2+1 format across the first and second semesters.
Smart Classrooms in KU for AI Learning
In collaboration with the Iceburg Foundation, Karachi University has launched smart classes equipped with modern facilities like PCs, mobile integration, wireless connectivity, and lecture-sharing tools. This project, completed in just two months with a budget of Rs. 12 million, aims to enhance the learning environment.
Karachi University BS AI Degree Admissions and Seat Limitations
Chairman UBIT, Sadiq Ali Khan, shared that for the upcoming four-year BS AI degree program, only 50 seats are available despite receiving 600 applications. The entry test for the program scheduled for December 29, 2024.
With the Fall semester kicking off in August or September and the Spring semester starting in January or February, AI enthusiasts have exciting opportunities to dive into the future of technology at Karachi University.
