Federal Minister Announces Digitalization of Karachi University’s Examination Department to Benefit Over 150,000 Students
In a significant move to empower students at the University of Karachi, the Federal Minister of Information and Technology, Syed Aminul Haque, declared the digitalization of the examination department. The announcement came during the signing ceremony for the establishment of the Health Incubator and Science & Technology Park.
With the aim of leveraging information and communication technology for academia, the Federal IT Minister emphasized the importance of the Health Incubator’s role in supporting medical-related start-ups. Through a collaborative agreement with the software export board, the Health Incubator and Technology Park will be established at the University, fostering a seamless connection between students and the digital world.
Speaking at the ceremony, Aminul Haq expressed his enthusiasm for the ongoing revolutionary steps taken during his tenure as the Federal Minister. Efforts worth 78 billion rupees have been initiated, including 83 projects providing broadband services, the establishment of 40 software technology parks, 8 national incubation centers, and the training of 3.3 million freelancers.
Furthermore, the Federal Minister reaffirmed his commitment to MQM’s principle of advancing with the people’s interests at heart. He emphasized the significance of a transparent population count in Karachi, which has a population close to 30 million, to ensure free and fair elections.
In conclusion, Syed Aminul Haque conveyed his vision for the future, expressing readiness to digitize various aspects of governance whenever the independent and autonomous Election Commission of Pakistan decides. He also encouraged the forthcoming government in December to launch 5G technology, showcasing Pakistan’s commitment to technological advancement on the global stage.
