Khyber Medical University Announces Results Of BDS First Professional Annual Exam 2018

Khyber Medical University (KMU) Peshawar has unveiled the BDS First Professional Annual Examinations session 2018 results and has shown overall pass percentage to be of 55. Out of 312 students, only 172 managed to get through the exams.

Many students who participated in this exam are known to have come from seven affiliated public and private dental colleges of KMU.

The news, which was released by the examination department of KMU, depicted that Satiha Qazi of Dental Section of Women Medical College Abbotabad secured the 1st position by bagging 604 marks. Meanwhile, Samiha Khan of Rahman College of Dentistry and Irsa Riaz Khan of Khyber College of Dentistry, Peshawar secured 2nd and 3rd positions with 579 and 569 marks, respectively.

Apart from that, the BDS first professional annual examination 2018 passing ratio of Khyber College of Dentistry Peshawear was the highest of 85%, while Ayub Medical College, Abbotabad had 52 %. Dental Section Woman Medical College, Abbotabad is on 54% and in front of it is Dental Section Bacha Khan Medical College, Mardan which secured the overall 63%. Which leaves KMU Institute of Dental Sciences, Kohat that got 69%, Dental Section Abbotabad International Medical College, Abbotabad who managed to get only 10% and Rahman College of Dentistry was 68 %.

To congratulate the efforts of the students who participated in the exam, Vice Chancellor KMU Prof. Dr. Arshad Javaid personally honored the successful graduates and gave the position holders prizes. He added that the young graduates of dentistry are our pride and he wishes that they will improve their professional and communications skills through dedicated hard work in the near future.
